Olga Thomas is an award winning, world-renowned Classical Composer known for composing musical gifts for the Royal Household. Olga has had four Number One Singles in the Official Classical iTunes chart, as well as many other top ten releases. She is Resident Composer for the charity Cruse Bereavement Support, and her single 'Her Platinum Crown' was composed in memory and tribute to Her Majesty The Queen, with all funds going to Cruse Bereavement Support, to which Her Majesty was Royal Patron. Olga's new single, 'His Noble Crown' continues her tradition of gifting music to the Royal Family to mark important occasions - this time celebrating King Charles III Coronation. The single was released on 4th May 2023, and reached Number 4 in the Official Charts under the Top Chart and Classical lists.

Olga Thomas-Bosovskaya was born in Moscow, attended the famous Gnesin School for Gifted Children, giving her first public concert at the age of eight. Olga gained a PhD in Music and Dramatic Art at the renowned Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in Moscow.

Olga has composed and performed original music for various productions. She has worked with the BBC and RADA and with such actors and directors as the late Susannah York, the late Corin Redgrave, Sarah Miles, Nicholas Le Prevost, Peter Kavanagh, Francesca Annis, Juliet Stevenson, Bill Nighy.

Her compositions range from classical drama (Hedda Gabler, Cousin Bette) to murder mystery thrillers (Lady Audley's Secret) to modern themes (The Country Girl, The Glass Menagerie).

Olga's work includes: "The Douglas Suite", written for Hollywood royalty - the Douglas dynasty, whose friendship and support means so much to Olga, "Images for Drawings by Peter Falk", "The Cherry Orchard", directed by Peter Kavanagh for the BBC, "The Furniture Suite", commissioned by John Bly of BBC’s Antiques Road Show and "Regent's University London Theme".

As the resident composer for Cruse Bereavement Care, Olga wrote Cruse's anthem "Restoring Hope" and several pieces presented to Her Majesty The Queen, including "Themes of Life and Glory", a tribute to The Queen Mother, "Celebration", an orchestra piece written to mark the marriage of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the anthem "Jubilation" for the Diamond Jubilee, performed by The Band Of Her Majesty's Royal Marines Portsmouth (Royal Band). They also recorded "Royal Lullaby", a gift for the Royal Baby, and  "Thank You Very March", (both arranged by WO1 T. Hodge MBE RM).

Olga was privileged to present a CD of her compositions to Her Majesty The Queen at a special reception for Cruse's Golden Jubilee held at St James's Palace. Olga has recorded and released many of her pieces over the last few years. She was delighted when 'Royal Platinum Love Song' went straight to Number 1 in the iTunes Classical Music Charts. The single was to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness Duke of Edinburgh's Platinum Wedding Anniversary. All proceeds went to Cruse Bereavement Care.

Olga went on to release a further single 'Royal Hollywood Love Song', which was to celebrate Prince Harry's wedding to Meghan Markle. Olga achieved a top ten classical iTunes position in the charts and all monies raised also went to charity. Olga continued to deliver her passion for the Royal Family with many interviews taking place with the World's media offering her expert opinion on Royal Music at weddings in general.

With the birth of baby Archie to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Olga celebrated by releasing a new 'Royal Lullaby - Sing it Soft, Sing it Low' featuring Russian soprano Maria Ostroukhova. This was featured on radio and in the national press.

At the end of 2018 Olga released a new EP 'Royal Christmas with Olga Thomas', which featured 'That Is His Story', a beautiful track which featured Daniel Koek and Joanna Forest. Olga was thrilled to discover that the track 'That Is His Story' reached an amazing Number 16 position in the Official Singles Chart! The EP also featured soprano Emily Haig on 'Anno Domini', which has been played on BBC Radio 2.

Olga's then went onto record a new single 'By My Side', featuring Joanna Forest on vocals which was released to celebrate Cruse Bereavement Care's 60th Anniversary. The song's lyrics were written by song writing power house Warwick & Young. The single went straight to Number One in the iTunes chart knocking pop royalty Ed Sheeran off the top position.

Once again all proceeds were for Cruse Bereavement Care.

Olga's latest single 'Flowers on the Doorstep' was released on Friday 16th October 2020! The single went straight to NUMBER ONE! This is the third time Olga and Joanna Forest have hit the number one spot together in the iTunes classical charts!

In 2020 Olga was delighted to be appointed the role as a Professor at London Performing Academy of Music (Composition Visiting Professor), as well as this she was honoured to become an Arts Patron of The British Monarchists Society.

     

In 2022 Olga became involved in a wonderful project with the British Monarchists Society to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. The record is entitled 'EIIR: The Platinum Record, A Jubilee Anthem' and comprises of two tracks - ‘The Four British Nations’ and 'We Thank You From Our Hearts'. Featuring British National treasure, Soprano Lesley Garrett CBE, Baritone and West End star Rodney Earl Clarke, and the world-famous London Community Gospel Choir. The record was released 21st April 2022, and Olga's composition 'The Four British Nations' went straight to Number ONE in the iTunes Classical Chart!

In June 2022 Olga released an album called  ‘Royal Platinum Jubilee Celebration’. Where, for the first time ever, all of her  royal compositions were  combined on one very special album in honour of Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. 

The album features beautiful musical performances from: Lesley Garrett CBE, Rodney Earl Clarke, the London Community Gospel Choir, Joanna Forest, Emily Haig, Daniel Koek, Wynne Evans and Maria Ostroukhova, along with the amazing Royal Marines Band Portsmouth, and the Arts Symphonic Orchestra.

Following the devastating passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022, Olga decided to release a beautiful classical tribute to Her Majesty's incredible life and her  awe-inspiring 70 years of service and duty. The single is called 'Her Platinum Crown' and was released on Friday 30th September 2022 and it reached Number 3 in the iTunes Classical Chart.

All proceeds from this single go to the charity Cruse Bereavement Support. Olga is Resident Composer for Cruse, and Her Majesty the Queen had supported the charity for over 38 years, becoming Royal Patron in 1984.

Olga's latest project is a new composition to celebrate the upcoming Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. The beautiful new song is called 'His Noble Crown' and features the stunning vocals of Number One Classical Soprano Joanna Forest. The single was released for the Coronation, and reached Number 4 in the iTunes Official Charts under the Top Chart and Classical lists. All proceeds from the single will once again be donated to charity: Cruse Bereavement Support and Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity.

When Olga is not composing for Film, TV, Music and Charity projects she sometimes is able to undertake private commissions such as she did for the Douglas Family. She also has a busy private teaching schedule in London, where she teaches the piano to both adults and children across the capital many of which have had their names down on her waiting list for many years.
